The Folding Together Association
● The FTA was established to create a connection between Jewish and Arab
(Palestinian) cultures using the art of origami and the culture of Japan. Most of the participants are children aged 8-12 years, though their families and schools are also involved.
● The purpose of the project is for the children to learn to judge a person from his/her personality and behavior, not from their origins, culture or religion.
Of particular interest is the image on a Copper Coin found in the Indian National Museum.
This coin is dated BCE 600 – 400 (2600 years old)
The image on this coin corresponds to the Chinese character used in ancient China to represent the God of China – Kakuten Sokan
(see: India Compilation Report page 2, below)
This same symbol is also found in Japan at the Emperor’s Shrine, the holy place in Shinto indigenous religion of Japan – Tai-ichi
Also, of interest: Designs from Coins – Harappan Period, Indus Valley
